My music story
I come from a musical family - my parents and siblings all perform, playing instruments and/or singing. I’ve been a singer my whole life. I dabbled in band instruments through middle school (sax, French horn, trumpet) but singing was always my strong suit. Late in high school I also started playing acoustic guitar and got completely hooked. In college I studied music for a while and got lots of experience performing as a vocalist in jazz ensembles. I was also part of a working cover band as a lead singer and rhythm guitarist. I graduated with non-music degrees but kept it as a main focus in my life – I write a fair amount of original music and recorded and released two albums in the 2000’s. I was performing solo acoustic shows quite a bit, but backed away from it as other things became a higher priority in my life, including a shift in interest toward building guitars.
I still love to play, sing, and write songs, but it’s not as much of a focus now. I have quite a bit of material I’d still like to record and release, so I’ll continue to do that as time permits. I hope you enjoy the music!
